Where did you grow up and how did your childhood shape you to work at Yass Valley Veterinary?
Born and raised in the UK, animals were a major part of my upbringing in the farming community of Wales. I grew up milking cows, breeding and showing donkeys, raising turkeys, rabbits and helping out with the haymaking. I had a passion for all things equestrian and went on to a career in point-to-point racing and hunting in Wales. From this I moved to show jumping in Europe then finally international Polo which brought me to Australia, where I met my husband and we set up a home in Yass.
What qualifications do you have?
I hold qualifications in Veterinary nursing and a British horse society assistant instructor’s certificate.
Why do you like working at Yass Valley Veterinary?
I love the variety of animals big and small that present to the Yass Valley Veterinary, every day is different. I love being part of a passionate and professional team.
What you like doing in your spare time?
I love to read, walk my dog, cook and travel.
What pets do you have?
I have a blue heeled named Beau, four cats named Fysh, Tubs, Snuggles & Dudley plus 3 chickens.
